Rural Health Office

Alaminos , Laguna is a 3rd class municipality 78.1 km southeast of Manila, bounded on the northeast by Sto. Tomas, Batangas, south by Calauan and Bay, and north by San Pablo. It has a population of 40,380 with 7466 households, and with a population density of 700/km2. The total land area is 57.4 km2 , and mainly agricultural ( coconut) in produce. A few industrial establishments has been established in the town as well as commercial establishments along the Maharlika highway , in the new public market. Alaminos has 15 barangays, with 4 barangays with in the poblacion area.

The Local government unit is headed by Hon. Mayor Eladio M. Magampon. Vice-Mayor Wilson Villanueva presides over the Sangguniang Bayan, which has 8 elected members and 2 appointed members. The Rural Health Unit is located at the back of the Municipal building, behind the PNP office. There is one Municipal Health Officer, 1 Public Health Nurse and 4 midwives, 1 Sanitary Inspector, 1 Medical Technologist and a visiting dentist every week. There is 1 job order nurse and 5 RN Heals from the province.

The Rural Health Unit is headed by the undersigned. It has a staff of 1 public Health Nurse, 4 Rural Health midwives, 1 Sanitary Inspector, and 1 Medical Technologist. The health care delivery is assisted by our Barangay Rural health workers.
